A Word From Our Sponsor: Plastic Lamellar

We'd like to take a moment to interview the companies who help make The Devastator possible by advertising with us. They're really patrons of the arts, and by "arts," I mean 90s cartoon references and penis jokes, which are the best arts. This is our interview with the folks at Plastic Lamellar, who we've tag-teamed with to create the ongoing comic series Milam of Lar, featured in Devastator #5: Fantasy....

D: Tell the Devastators of the internet about Plastic Lamellar.

PL: Plastic lamellar is a type of plastic armor that makes you look and feel better. Its uses include historical reenactment, costuming, and fashion design.

D: Does wearing a lamellar suit make a person cooler? Most experts say "yes."

PL: Plastic lamellar does make a person cooler, especially if they aren't wearing much else. Passersby are often heard saying "cool" when gazing upon someone wearing a suit of lamellar.

D: People are pretending to do battle with your product - does it come with any sort of warning label?

PL: People often inquire about the protective ability of Plastic Lamellar. We were once asked if it would deflect a +3 Dagger of Rending, at which time our helpful staff referred him to his DM. While our product will make it much less uncomfortable to get punched in the stomach, our official response is "Plastic Lamellar will NOT prevent injury."

D: The Magnificent Milam of Lar made his lamellicious debut in The Devastator #5: Fantasy! Will we be seeing more of him in the future?

PL: We can neither confirm nor deny nor be liable for any such appearances.

[Editor's Note: We can confirm it! Here are 4 videos of Milam at San Diego Comic Con 2012.]

D: I hear Plastic Lamellar was featured in the film Balls of Fury. That's awesome! When do you see your armor?

PL: The armor may be seen in the villain's liar and is worn during the final battle scene. Villains just don't seem to read those disclaimers.

D: Finally, are there any magical benefits to wearing lamellar?

PL: As Harry Dresden would say, you have to believe in the magic for it to work. If your faith is strong, there are no limits to what you and your lamellar can do.
